The Institute offers 3 routes to professional membership:
- By examination
- By exemption
- By accreditation of prior learning
Candidates who have completed all FOUR Core Modules of IRFP Examination will be eligible to become Associate International Registered Financial Practitioner (AIRFP).
To become Full member (IRFP), one must pass another FOUR Elective Modules of IRFP Examination.
Candidates who have completed similar coursework in other study program, academic and professional qualifications equivalent to those cover IRFP curriculum, may apply for a maximum of FOUR exemptions （ TWO from Core Modules and TWO from Elective Modules ）.
Other qualifications or have related full-time qualified experience for more than 10 years.

Student Member: Free
Associate Member/ Full Member: HK$1,500/ USD210/ GBP108
Fellow: HK$5,000/ USD700/ GBP360
Remark:
If the application is declined by the SIRFP, HK$1,000/ USD 140/ GBP72 of application fee will be refunded to the applicant.
